Benalmadena Costa -- Gastronomy
Ronda's mountains make a great contribution to Málaga's cuisine: excellent game meat and delicious sausages. These are used in extraordinary recipes that contain all the flavour of the mountains. One of them is the popular bull's tail, which summons the bullfighting tradition of this land. Try the habas a la rondeña (pepper, tomato and onion hash) and the green asparagus with breadcrumbs.Cold soups are an important part of Málaga's cuisine. In addition to gazpacho, present in the whole Andalusian Autonomous Community, there are other cold soups like ajoblanco: a traditional soup made with garlic, olive oil and almonds, sometimes also with white grapes. Also traditional is the gazpachuelo, with fish and seafood's broth mixed with mayonnaise and the porra antequerana.
As many other Spanish regions, when it comes to sweets Málaga has a long tradition of conventual confectionery. Sweets include ring-shaped pastries, almond cakes, bienmesabe (sweet made with coconut, egg yolks, sugar and muscatel), mantecado (biscuits made with almonds and lard), alfajores (almond and nut pastry) and shortbread from the steppe, traditionally eaten at Christmas time all across Spain. And for those who prefer to have some fruit for dessert, we recommend the exquisite muscatel grapes from this province, as well as the subtropical fruits available. In the province of Málaga we can find two Designations of Origin with its name: Málaga and Sierras de Málaga, producing Mediterranean liqueurs of excellent quality. A feast for the senses. For the best of Málaga's cuisine, head over to La Meridiana Restaurant, in Marbella or Lido, in Estepona, both of them rated 2 suns by the CAMPSA guide. Other options include the Café de París, in the city of Málaga and La Hacienda Restaurant in Marbella.

The course was designed by Rob Kirby and Gary Player, and consists of 18 holes with a par of 72, and features wide fairways flanked by leafy trees, which not only provide pleasant shade in summer but also make it considerably more difficult to reach the flag. The greens are wide and fast, and protected by huge bunkers. A large number of the holes are affected by water hazards which obstruct access to the greens. .
